Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis feels that it would be in Edinson Cavani's best interest to stay at the Serie
A outfit as there's no guarantee that he will be the undisputed star if he were to join a team likeChelsea, Manchester City or Real Madrid.
The Uruguay international, 26, has continually been linked with a move away from Napoli, but De Laurentiis feels no other club can give him the surroundings to fulfil his potential like the Partenopei.
"He knows that he is the star of the show here at Napoli and you never know whether this will also be the case at Real Madrid or anywhere else.
"We have already seen how [Diego] Forlan and [Luis] Suarez have outshone him for Uruguay and how this has affected his goalscoring record.
"I have little doubt that he will take all of this into consideration before making a decision. He will make a decision on his future and we will follow his direction."
De Laurentiis stated on Friday that interested clubs must match Cavani's €63 million (£53m) buyout clause, while adding that Manchester City cannot afford the striker unless they sell players first and Chelsea have yet to make a formal approach
